APRIL INTERNATIONAL TANGO LABORATORY   We are glad to announce that on the 16-25 of April 2010 5th International Tango Laboratory will take place in Moscow, Russia, organised by Valentina Ustinova's tango school Casa del Tango. The first April International tango laboratory was held in 2006. Every year we invite teachers from different countries to give classes and make the performances during the festival. We introduce young tango stars, full of energy and ideas, who are ready to share their experience with their students. It's a great occasion to dance, to practice and to take lessons. This year we will have the honor to welcome the following teachers: Tango Laboratory is a good opportunity to meet new friends, to dance, to exchange ideas — that's why it's called "the laboratory". Come! Try!! Play!!! |
TANGO in RUSSIA 
The modern history of the argentine tango in Russia has slightly over 10 years. The first argentine tango school opened in Moscow in 1998, at the same time the first tango school was open in St. Petersburg. Now both cities have several schools while in the rest of Russia more schools are opening: in Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Rostov, Ekaterinburg, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar and other cities. The well-known maestros such as Mariano Chicho Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda, Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Ozhan Araz y Serkan Gokcesu, Gaston Torelli and Mariela Sametband, Horacio Godoy and Cecilia Berra, Silvina Valz, Sigrid van Tilbeurgh, Nito and Elba, and many others come to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar to teach at annual festivals. |
